Pruvict 2 Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you're given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effects are headache, nausea, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, dizziness, and dyspepsia. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration.
Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. You should avoid this medicine if you are suffering from bleeding ulcers of the stomach. Consult with your doctor if are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Pruvict 2 Tablet is a selective 5-HT4 receptor agonist that has high intrinsic activity. It indirectly stimulates the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that increases the motility of the intestine and treats even chronic (long-term) constipation very effectively.
Prucalopride is rapidly absorbed (Cmax attained 2–3 hours after single 2 mg oral dose) and is extensively distributed. Metabolism is not the major route of elimination.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Prucalopride is used to treat chronic idiopathic (unknown cause) constipation (CIC). It works by increasing peristalsis (contractions) in the colon, leading to an increase in the number of bowel movements. This medicine is available only with your doctor's prescription.
Drug-Drug Interactions: PRUCALOPRIDE may interact with an antihistamine (diphenhydramine).

If you miss a dose of Pruvict 2 Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
