Ranila D Tablet is a combination of two medicines. It is to be taken in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. In case you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. A high dose or overdose may have harmful effects on the body.
This medicine is generally well tolerated by patients. However, it may cause diarrhea, sleepiness, tiredness, headache, confusion, muscle pain in some people. Before taking the medicine always consult your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you are suffering from any severe stomach, liver, kidney disease, or any known disease.
DOMPERIDONE+RANITIDINE is a combination of two drugs, namely: Ranitidine (H2 receptor antagonist) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist). Ranitidine works by blocking histamine H2 receptors located on the stomach lining, thereby reduces gastric acid secretion.
Domperidone is a specific blocker of dopamine receptors. It speeds gastrointestinal peristalsis, causes prolactin release, and is used as antiemetic and tool in the study of dopaminergic mechanisms. Side effects include galactorrhea, gynecomastia, or menstrual irregularities.
Pharmacokinetics: Absorption: Ranitidine Tablets is 50% absorbed after oral administration, compared to an intravenous (IV) injection with mean peak levels of 440 to 545 ng/mL occurring 2 to 3 hours after a 150 mg dose.

If you miss a dose of Ranila D Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Take Ranila D Tablet exactly as directed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. To prevent heartburn and acid indigestion, take it 30-60 minutes before eating food or drinking beverages as that can lead to indigestion. Follow all directions as advised.
Q. What are the serious side effects of an overdose of Ranila D Tablet?
Serious side effects are rare but can occur if you take a higher than the recommended dose. You could have stomach pain that seems to be getting worse (sign of an inflamed liver or pancreas), back pain, fever, pain while peeing or blood in your urine (signs of kidney problems), rash and a slow or irregular heartbeat.

Yes, the use of Ranila D Tablet can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry.
