Rasilez 300mg Tablet FC should be taken regularly as advised by the doctor. You should take it with or without food and at a fixed time. This may lead to your blood pressure rising up again and increase your risk of heart disease and stroke.
It is important to have your blood pressure checked regularly. This medicine is only one part of a treatment program which should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation, moderation of alcohol intake and weight reduction. You can eat normally while taking this medicine, but try to reduce your salt intake.
It may cause side effects like diarrhea, dizziness, and joint pain. This medicine may not be suitable for some people. You must inform the doctor if you are suffering from any liver or kidney disease. Also, let your doctor know about all the other medications that you are using regularly. This medicine is not usually recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so always consult your doctor before taking it.
Rasilez 300mg Tablet FC is a direct renin inhibitor. It works by relaxing blood vessels which lower blood pressure and allows the heart to pump more efficiently.
Aliskiren is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and is poorly absorbed with a bioavailability between 2.0 and 2.5%. Peak plasma concentrations of aliskiren are achieved between 1 to 3 hours after administration. Steady-state concentrations of aliskiren are achieved within 7-8 days of regular administration.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Aliskiren is used for the treatment of hypertension in children above 6 years and adults. This drug may also be used in conjunction with antihypertensives such as calcium channel blockers and thiazides in products form to provide additional blood pressure control.
Some products that may interact with this drug include: drugs that may increase the level of potassium in the blood (including sparsentan, ACE inhibitors such as benazepril/lisinopril, ARBs such as candesartan/losartan, birth control pills containing drospirenone).

If you miss a dose of Rasilez 300mg Tablet FC, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Rasilez 300mg Tablet FC starts working on the day you start taking it but it may take up to 4 weeks to notice the full benefits of this medicine. Continue taking it as prescribed by your doctor.
Q. Can Rasilez 300mg Tablet FC cause fluid and electrolyte imbalance?
Yes, this medicine might cause fluid and electrolyte imbalance. Some of the warning signs or symptoms include dryness of the mouth, thirst, weakness, lethargy, drowsiness, restlessness, muscle pains or cramps, muscular fatigue, hypotension, and gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea and vomiting. Close monitoring of serum electrolytes should be performed at the initiation of therapy.
Q. Can Rasilez 300mg Tablet FC cause hyperkalemia?
Yes, the use of potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics, salt substitutes containing potassium, or other drugs that may increase potassium levels along with Rasilez 300mg Tablet FC might cause hyperkalemia (increase in potassium levels).

Joint pain is one of the common side-effects of this medicine. Do light exercise or take physical therapy to strengthen muscles around the affected joint and manage your weight along with taking this medication. Talk to your doctor if it does not go away.
