Rebotin 2mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. It is advised to take this medicine at a fixed time each day. You should never skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly as it may worsen your symptoms.
Some common side effects of this medicine include insomnia (difficulty sleeping), dry mouth, nausea, and constipation. It even causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus. Moreover, most of the side effects are immediate and often go away with time. Please consult your doctor if these bother you or do not go away.
Before taking this medicine it is important to inform your doctor if you have any history of seizure or if you drink alcohol. Inform your doctor if you develop any unusual changes in mood or behavior, new or worsening depression if you have any suicidal thoughts.
Rebotin 2mg Tablet works in depression by increasing the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that helps in regulating mood.
The absolute bioavailability is 94.5%, and maximal concentrations are generally achieved within 2 to 4 hours.

Rebotin 2mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Reboxetine is indicated for the acute treatment of depressive illness/major depression and for maintaining the clinical improvement in patients initially responding to treatment. The recommended therapeutic dose is 4 mg twice a day (b.i.d.) i.e., 8 mg/day administered orally.
Reboxetine, therefore should not be given together with drugs known to inhibit CYP3A4 such as azole antifungal agents, macrolide antibiotics such as erythromycin, or fluvoxamine. Low reboxetine serum levels have been reported with the concurrent administration of CYP3A4 inducers such as phenobarbital and carbamazepine.
