Riasis 30mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and do not stop taking the medicine even if you get better until that doctor tells you it is alright to stop. You may need to monitor your weight regularly while taking the medicine as it may cause weight loss.
Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. If these side effects persist or get worse, let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these symptoms by prescribing you an alternative medicine or by adjusting the dose.
To make sure the medicine is safe for you, before taking this medicine, let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor first before taking this medicine.
Riasis 30mg Tablet is a phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation associated with psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis, and thereby reduces the signs and symptoms of these conditions.
An oral dose of apremilast is well-absorbed and the absolute bioavailability is approximately 73%. Tmax is approximately 2.5 hours 14 and Cmax has been reported to be approximately 584 ng/mL in one pharmacokinetic study. Food intake does not appear to affect apremilast absorption.

Apremilast is indicated for the treatment of adults with active psoriatic arthritis and adults with oral ulcers associated with Behcet's Disease. In addition, apremilast is indicated for the treatment of plaque psoriasis, of any severity, in adult patients who are candidates for phototherapy or systemic therapy.
Drug-Drug Interactions: APREMILAST may interact with medicines used for tuberculosis- TB (rifampicin), and medicines used in fit/epilepsy (phenytoin, phenobarbital, carbamazepine).
Drug-Food Interactions: No food interactions were found.
Drug-Disease Interactions: APREMILAST should not be given to patients with depression, kidney disease, and weight loss.

If you miss a dose of Riasis 30mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Riasis 30mg Tablet is a well-tolerated medicine. Mild stomach upset may occur early during the treatment.
Monitor your weight regularly as Riasis 30mg Tablet may cause weight loss.
Your doctor will gradually increase the dose from day 1 to day 6 of treatment, after which it may be kept constant.
Tell your doctor immediately if you experience new or worsened depression, suicidal thoughts, other mood changes or unexplained weight loss.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Riasis 30mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

No, Riasis 30mg Tablet is not an immunosuppressant. It belongs to a class of medicines known as phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitors (PDE4) which work by blocking the activity of PDE4. PDE4 is found in inflammatory cells and blocking it helps in reducing the molecules responsible for inflammation.
