Rinizide Forte DT Tablet is a prescription medicine and it is to be taken it as suggested by the doctor. It should be taken in an empty stomach and take it at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The course of the treatment must be completed even if you feel better. Sudden discontinuation of the treatment may affect the potency of the medicine. The medicine may take some to show its effects on the symptoms. However, it is advised to consult the doctor if you feel an aggravation of the condition or if your condition does not improve.
Some common side effects of this medicine are nausea, vomiting, fever, dark-colored urine, sweating, increased saliva, etc. To cope up with the side effects, you should drink plenty of water. If any of the side effects get aggravated, you must consult your doctor immediately. Generally, serious side effects are rare. If you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.), you must seek immediate medical help.

RINIZIDE FORTE DT TABLET is a combination of two anti-tuberculosis drugs, namely: Rifampicin, and Isoniazid. Rifampicin inhibits DNA-dependent RNA polymerase activity in the bacteria. Isoniazid inhibits the biosynthesis of mycolic acid, which is the major component of the cell wall.
The pharmacokinetics of isoniazid in man are described. Pronounced interindividual variation in circulating isoniazid concentration and clearance which occur after dosing with the drug are associated with hereditary differences in the acetylalor status.Pyrazinamide is used in the treatment of tuberculosis (TB) because its sterilizing effect against tubercle bacilli allows the shortening of treatment. It is part of standard treatment for drug-susceptible and drug-resistant TB, and it is being considered as a companion drug in novel regimens.Approximately 80% of rifampicin is transported in blood bound to plasma proteins, mainly albumin. Rifampicin is well distributed, although to a different degree, in the various tissues of the human body. Probably in the hepatocyte, rifampicin undergoes a process of desacetylation.

Hypersensitivity to Rinizide Forte DT Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Rinizide Forte DT Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Acute gout or hyperuricaemia
Alcohol
Allergic reactions

Liver disease
Porphyria
Pregnancy
Pregnant
Severe hepatic disease
Rinizide Forte DT Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Consuming alcohol while taking Rinizide Forte DT Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Rinizide Forte DT Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Isoniazid+Pyrazinamide+Rifampicin is used in the treatment of tuberculosis.Isoniazid prevents the TB bacteria from forming their own protective covering while Rifampicin works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by these bacteria to make essential proteins and to reproduce. Together, they kill the bacteria and eradicate the infection. Pyrazinamide , on the other hand works by slowing the growth of these bacteria.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Rinizide Forte DT Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Rinizide Forte DT Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:

Clopidogrel

Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Rinizide Forte DT Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Rinizide Forte DT Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
It may cause dizziness. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how Rinizide Forte DT Tablet affects you.

Avoid taking hormone-based birth control methods as Rinizide Forte DT Tablet may decrease their effectiveness.
Your doctor may monitor your liver function, vision and thyroid function while on treatment with this medicine.

Avoid Rinizide Forte DT Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
