Ripatec Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.
This medicine is generally safe to use. However, you might experience irritation, redness and burning sensation at the application site. If these side effects persist for a longer duration, inform your doctor. In case by accident, this medicine goes into your ears, nose or mouth, immediately rinse it with water. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery after use of this medicine as it may cause blurring of vision and may affect your ability to drive.
It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way it works, but talk to your doctor before using it if you have used a similar medicine before and had an allergic reaction. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Ripatec Eye Drop belongs to a class of medicines known as Rho kinase inhibitors. It promotes the outflow of aqueous humor from the eye into the systemic circulation. This decreases the increased fluid pressure in the eyes.
Pharmacokinetics. Ripasudil achieves a half-life of 0.49 to 0.73 hours in humans and is predominantly excreted in the urine.

Ripasudil is a rho kinase inhibitor indicated to treat ocular hypertension and open-angle glaucoma. Ripasudil, as hydrochloride hydrate (K-115), is a specifc Rho-associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase (ROCK) inhibitor used for the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
