Basic Information

Mechanism Of Action

ASPIRIN+ROSUVASTATIN is composed of Rosuvastatin and Aspirin. Rosuvastatin is an antilipemic agent (cholesterol-lowering) or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. It works by blocking liver enzymes, causing the liver to make less cholesterol.

Pharmacokinets

Rosuvastatin is not extensively metabolized; approximately 10% of a radiolabeled dose is recovered as metabolite. Following oral administration, rosuvastatin and its metabolites are primarily excreted in the feces (90%).

Aspirin is rapidly absorbed in the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract and results in a measurable inhibition of platelet function within 60 minutes. This antiplatelet effect is associated with prolongation of the bleeding time and inhibition of TXA2-dependent platelet aggregation.

Side Effects

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Contra Indications
