Rosuvas D 10 Tablet is used to treat high cholesterol. It is a combination of two medicines that reduces "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides (fats) levels in the body. It may also reduce risk of future heart attack and stroke. Lifestyle changes like low-fat diet, exercise, and not smoking may help this medicine to work better. It may cause diarrhea as a side effect, so it is better to have this medicine with food. It may change liver function and blood sugar levels so monitor them properly. This medicine may also cause reduction in calcium levels, so have regular blood tests to monitor the level of calcium. Dizziness, stomach pain, muscle pain, and constipation are some other side effects associated with this medicine.
Rosuvas D 10 Tablet works by reducing the formation of cholesterol in the body by inhibiting the HMG-CoA-reductase (an enzyme that is required to make cholesterol). Rosuvas D 10 Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, stomach pain, constipation, headache and weakness.
Pharmacokinetics. The oral bioavailability of rosuvastatin is 20%, which is comparable to atorvastatin, pravastatin and fluvastatin, and qualitatively higher than simvastatin and lovastatin. After a single oral dose the peak plasma concentration is reached at 5 hours.
The pharmacokinetics of oral vitamin D3 are conventionally described with respect to its effect on the serum concentration of the predominant circulating metabolite, 25-hydroxyvitamin D, which is a well-established biomarker of systemic vitamin D status.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Rosuvas D 10 Tablet.
Rosuvas D 10 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Rosuvas D 10 Tablet 15's may have interaction with other medicines used to lower bad cholesterol (gemfibrozil, fenofibrate, ezetimibe), immunosuppressant (cyclosporine), blood thinners (clopidogrel, warfarin), antibiotics (fusidic acid, erythromycin), anticancer drugs (regorafenib, darolutamide).

If you miss a dose of Rosuvas D 10 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It may cause the amount of calcium in your blood to fall. Take calcium rich food in your diet and have regular blood tests to monitor the level of calcium in your blood.
Notify your doctor if you experience yellow eyes or skin or dark urine after starting the medication.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rosuvas D 10 Tablet is to be taken with food.
