Migraine headaches are thought to result from the dilatation of blood vessels in the head. Roxam Tablet is a serotonin antagonist. It works by maintaining the level of serotonin (chemical messenger) in the brain and also prevents loss of tone and dilation of blood vessels, thus preventing the migraine headache.

Pharmacokinets

Pizotifen is extensively metabolized in the liver, where it primarily undergoes N-glucuronidation to form the main metabolite, N-glucuronide conjugate 10. N-glucuronide conjugate accounts for at least 50% of the plasma and 60-70% of the urinary-excreted radioactivity 10.
