Rubuphine 10mg Injection is generally administered by a healthcare professional. You should not self-administer this medicine at home. The dose and duration will depend on what you are taking it for and how well it helps your symptoms.
The most common side effects of this medicine include injection site reactions (such as pain, redness, and swelling), headache, dizziness, sleepiness, nausea, vomiting, sweating, and constipation. If any of these side effects persist or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the symptoms.
Before using it, you should let your doctor know if you have a history of stomach ulcers, heart diseases, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking because they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is important to ask the advice of your doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may also regularly monitor your kidney function, liver function, and levels of blood components if you are taking this medicine for long-term treatment.
Rubuphine 10mg Injection is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception.
The onset of action of nalbuphine after intravenous injection is 2 to 3 minutes. With subcutaneous or intramuscular administration, the onset of action is within 15 minutes. The duration of action of nalbuphine ranges from 3 to 6 hours. Distribution: Protein binding not significant.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Rubuphine 10mg Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Rubuphine 10mg Injection.
Rubuphine 10mg Injection is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Nalbuphine is FDA indicated for moderate to severe pain in where the patient requires an opioid agent, and other alternative treatments have been insufficient.
Drug-Drug Interactions: NALBUPHINE may interact with other opioid analgesics, CNS depressants, benzodiazepines, muscle relaxants, diuretics, anticholinergic drugs, and monoamine oxidase inhibitors.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have asthma, paralytic ileus, respiratory depression, COPD, adrenal insufficiency, severe hypotension, increased intracranial pressure, brain problems, head injury, gastrointestinal problems, seizures, depression, kidney or liver problems.

Use Rubuphine 10mg Injection as instructed by your doctor. Never take in greater amounts or more often than prescribed.
It causes sleepiness or drowsiness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery.
Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Rubuphine 10mg Injection, as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness.
Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.
Store opioid pain relievers in a safe place and out of reach of others.

Q. Is there anything I need to be careful about while on therapy with Rubuphine 10mg Injection?
Rubuphine 10mg Injection may cause drowsiness and dizziness, especially in the beginning of the treatment. Do not drive or work with tools or machinery if your alertness is affected. It is not advisable to drink alcohol during treatment with this medicine as it might increase sleepiness.
