This medicine works by killing the eggs and mites of scabies.
Possible pharmacokinetic interaction (increased percutaneous absorption of lindane). Avoid use of oil treatments or oil-based hair preparations immediately before or after applying lindane shampoo; lindane lotion should not be applied simultaneously with any other cream (e.g., conditioner), ointment, or oil.

Use with caution in those at risk for neurotoxicity including infants, children, elderly persons, those who weigh <50 kg, or those with a history of seizures. It is contraindicated in premature infants and in those with uncontrolled seizure disorders. Counseling the patient on proper use is required.
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine.

Non-crusted scabies.
Head lice or crab lice.
Pediculosis capitis.
Pediculosis pubis.
Drug-Drug Interaction: LINDANE may interact with antipsychotics (haloperidol), bronchodilator (theophylline), antibiotics (imipenem, penicillins, and quinolone antibiotics), antidepressants (bupropion), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine, tacrolimus, mycophenolate mofetil), antimalarial drugs (pyrimethamine, chloroquine), antituberculosis agents (isoniazid), pain killers (meperidine), muscle relaxant (methocarbamol), radiographic contrast agents (iopamidol, iohexol)
Drug-Food Interaction: No interactions found.
Drug-Disease Interaction: Do not use LINDANE in patients with uncontrolled seizures (fits) disorder as it may cause central nervous system toxicity and inform your doctor if you have liver cirrhosis, eczema, psoriasis, or crusted scabies.
Store below 30°C
This medicine is usually applied once and hence no dosing schedule is required.
Contact your doctor immediately if an overdose with this medicine is suspected. Accidental swallowing or application into the eyes or nose of this medicine may also result in some serious side effects.
