Polyethylene glycol 3350 is in a class of medications called osmotic laxatives. It works by causing water to be retained with the stool. This increases the number of bowel movements and softens the stool so it is easier to pass. The pharmacokinetics of propylene glycol has been examined during multiple oral-dosing regimens. The glycol is rapidly absorbed, with Cpmax observed within 1 h following administration. The terminal elimination half-life is approximately 4 h.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
