Silnafil 25mg Tablet may be taken on an empty stomach or with a meal. It should be strictly taken as advised by your doctor. You should take it about one hour before you plan to have sex. The amount of time it takes to work varies from person to person, but it normally takes between 30 minutes and one hour. This medicine will only help you to get an erection if you are sexually stimulated. However, you should not take this medicine if you do not have erectile dysfunction. It should not be taken more than once a day.
Sildenafil is a selective inhibitor of cGMP-specific phosphodiesterase (PDE-5). Penile erection involves relaxation of the corpus cavernosum, an event mediated by NO and cGMP. The biological actions of cGMP are terminated by phosphodiesterase enzymes and PDE-5 is the major cGMP metabolising enzyme in this tissue.
Sildenafil was rapidly cleared from the body with a plasma elimination half-life of approximately 3–4 h over the dose range of 25 and 200 mg. These characteristics represent pharmacokinetic support for the effectiveness and appropriateness of sildenafil for the as-needed treatment of patients with ED.

Sildenafil treats erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. This increased blood flow can cause an erection. Sildenafil treats PAH by relaxing the blood vessels in the lungs to allow blood to flow easily.
If you take sildenafil for pulmonary arterial hypertension, do not take Viagra® or other PDE5 inhibitors, such as tadalafil (Cialis®) or vardenafil (Levitra®). Viagra® also contains sildenafil. If you take too much sildenafil or take it together with these medicines, the chance for side effects will be higher.

If you miss a dose of Silnafil 25mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It is best to take it an hour before sexual intercourse. But, you can take it anytime between 30 minutes and 4 hours before sexual activity.
Do not take it more than once a day.
Seek medical attention if the erection persists for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse.
Do not use Silnafil 25mg Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain).
Do not take it if you have had a heart attack in the past 3 months, or stroke or heart failure in the past 6 months.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Silnafil 25mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

However, if these medicines are to be taken together then it is advised to keep a time gap of 24 hours between the intake of Penegra and blood pressure-lowering medicines.
