Soprasun Cream is meant for external use only. It should be applied only to the affected area of the skin as per the dosage and schedule prescribed by your doctor. To get the most benefit, apply it regularly and preferably at a fixed time each day. Do not use larger amounts or apply it more often or for a longer duration than directed. This will only increase the risk of side effects.
Local side effects like minor burning, irritation, itching, and redness may be seen after the application of this medicine. These side effects are temporary and resolve quickly. Consult your doctor if these persist or if your condition does not improve.
Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse off any accidentally exposed area with water. Before using it, inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy to it or any other medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using it.
Soprasun Cream is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
There is limited information on the metabolism of neomycin, as there is limited systemic absorption following drug administration. Metabolism is deemed to be negligible. The small absorbed fraction of neomycin is excreted by the kidney. The unabsorbed portion of the drug is excreted unchanged in the feces.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Oral neomycin should not be administered in cases of intestinal obstruction or patients with a known history of hypersensitivity. Individuals who have experienced hypersensitivity or severe toxic reactions to other aminoglycosides could exhibit cross-sensitivity to neomycin.
Soprasun Cream may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Soprasun Cream is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
The baby's skin should not come into direct contact with the treated area of skin. Water-miscible cream/gel is preferred as ointments may expose the baby to harmful effects of Soprasun Cream via licking.
Topical uses: include treatment for superficial eye infections, otitis externa, bacterial infections in skin, continuous short-term irrigant or rinse to prevent bacteriuria and gram-negative rod bacteremia in abacteriuric patients with indwelling catheters.
Drug-Drug Interactions: NEOMYCIN may interact with antibiotics (e.g. amikacin, gentamicin, kanamycin, paromomycin, streptomycin, penicillin), heart medicines (e.g digoxin), cancer medication (e.g. methotrexate), antiviral medicines (e.g. adefovir, cidofovir), blood thinner (e.g. warfarin), diuretics (e.g. bumetanide, furosemide, torsemide).

Drug-Disease Interactions: NEOMYCIN is known to interact if you have diaper rash, dehydration, inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness disease), Parkinson’s disease, kidney/liver problem, ear problem (ototoxicity), breathing problems (asthma, COPD).

If you miss a dose of Soprasun Cream, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
