Spar Eye Drop is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
It may cause eye discomfort and burning sensation, immediately after application of the medicine. However, these side effects are temporary and usually subside on their own. Inform your doctor if they persist for a longer duration. It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines. Do not wear contact lenses while using it.
Sparfloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial respiratory infections and sinusitis. Sparfloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic indicated for bacterial infections. Sparfloxacin exerts its antibacterial activity by inhibiting DNA gyrase, a bacterial topoisomerase.
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus is also susceptible to sparfloxacin. Plasma sparfloxacin concentrations reach a peak (Cmax) of approximately 0.7 mg/L at 3 to 5 hours after a 200mg oral dose. This is followed by a monophasic slow decrease, with an elimination half-life (t1/2) of 15 to 20 hours.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Avoid using Sparmax 0.3% Eye Drops if you are allergic to it. Serious allergic reactions to this medicine are rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of allergic reactions such as severe itching, redness, eye irritation, blurred vision, or sensitivity to light.
Spar Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Spar Eye Drop is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Spar Eye Drop may cause diarrhea or rash in the baby.
Sparfloxacin is available on prescription as tablets and eye drops. Tablets are used to treat lung infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis caused by a large number of bacteria. Eye drops are used to treat conjunctivitis or pink eye caused by bacteria. It kills or prevents the growth of bacteria in the body.
This medicine has interactions with caffeine and milk/ milk products. Sparfloxacin can make the effect of caffeine stronger. Dairy or milk products or other products fortified with calcium can cause the medicine less effective.
Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Spar Eye Drop, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Spar Eye Drop for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the medication.
Do not touch the tip to any surface, or to your eye, to avoid contamination.
Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
