Spaslin H 10mg Tablet is taken with or without in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effects are blurred vision, increased heart rate, dryness in mouth, and dilatation of pupil. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.
Pregnant women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Spaslin H 10mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver and kidney disease or alcohol abuse.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Spaslin H 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
After intravenous administration hyoscine butylbromide is rapidly distributed (t½α = 4 min, t½β = 29 min) into the tissues. The volume of distribution (Vss) is 128 L (corresponding to approx. 1.7 L/kg).
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Hysocine butylbromide are contraindicated in myasthenia gravis, mechanical stenosis in the gastrointestinal tract, paralytical or obstructive ileus, megacolon and in patients who have demonstrated prior hypersensitivity to hyoscine butylbromide or any other component of the products.
Spaslin H 10mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Spaslin H 10mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Spaslin H 10mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Single dose is unlikely to interfere with breastfeeding, milk secretion may decrease during long-term use.
Drug-Drug Interactions: HYOSCINE BUTYLBROMIDE may interact with anti-emetic (domperidone, metoclopramide), bronchodilator (salbutamol), anti-arrhythmic (quinidine, disopyramide), anti-Parkinson (amantadine), anti-cholinergic (tiotropium, ipratropium), anti-psychotic (haloperidol, fluphenazine), opiate analgesic (codeine), anti-depressant (amitriptyline), and antihistamines.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have glaucoma, myasthenia gravis (muscle problems), blockage of the bowel, paralytic/obstructive ileus, and enlarged bowel.

If you miss a dose of Spaslin H 10mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.\n
