Supraheal 1% Gel is a hemostatic agent which is used in the treatment of bleeding associated with burns and wounds.


Supraheal 1% Gel is for external use only. It should be directly applied on the affected area. Before using this medicine, you should read the label. You should use it in a dose and duration as advised by your doctor.


This medicine works by stopping oozing of blood. It activates thrombin which promotes clot formation. It also combines with blood proteins to form a gel like substance that covers and protects the wound surface which further helps in stoppage of bleeding.


The common side effects include irritation at the application site. If the symptoms persist, please consult your doctor. Do not use it if you have known allergies from this medicine.

Contra Indications

FERACRYLUM is contraindicated in patients with allergic reactions. It is also not intended to use in patients who take epsilon aminocaproic acid (EACA) for any bleeding disorders.

Indications

Feracrylum is used before oral surgeries and tooth extractions. It prevents the oozing of blood from capillaries and veins during surgeries. It is also used to manage post-operative wounds, cuts, burns, and abrasions to prevent infection
