Tide 100 Tablet helps your body get rid of extra water and salt through urine. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines as per the dose advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food and should be taken at the same time each day. It is best to avoid taking this medicine within 4 hours of your bedtime to prevent having to get up at night to urinate.It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. If you stop taking it without consulting your doctor, your condition may worsen. Lifestyle changes like reducing stress, restricting salt intake, and stopping smoking may help this medication work better.
Tide 100 Tablet is a diuretic. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced.
The pharmacokinetics of torasemide are significantly influenced by liver disease. Total plasma clearance of torasemide was reduced to about half of that found in the control group, yielding an increase in elimination half-life.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Torsemide acts on electrolyte channels in the renal tubules. Significant adverse events include electrolyte abnormalities, photosensitive reactions, and hypotension. Contraindications to use are sulfa allergy, anuria, and hepatic coma.
Tide 100 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Tide 100 Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Tide 100 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Hypertension (not a first-line agent)[5]: Initial oral dose is 5 mg once daily, and the dose may increase to 10 mg daily after 4 to 6 weeks.
Salicylates. Taking torsemide with high doses of drugs called salicylates can cause the levels of the salicylate in your blood to become dangerously high.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Tide 100 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Tide 100 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Consult a doctor before taking any medicines.
Take it in the morning with breakfast to avoid getting up at night to urinate.
Monitor your blood pressure after starting Tide 100 Tablet, and notify your doctor if it does not lower down.
Consult your doctor if you experience dizziness, tiredness, or muscle weakness that does not go away.
Take potassium supplements or potassium-rich diet (banana, spinach, coconut water, etc.) as Tide 100 Tablet can decrease your potassium levels and lead to dehydration.
You may be asked to get regular blood tests done to monitor your kidney function.

Q. Does Tide 100 Tablet increase creatinine?
Yes, Tide 100 Tablet may cause a mild increase in creatinine values depending on the dose you are taking. These increased creatinine levels may increase slightly more when this medicine is used for long term. However, with discontinuation of the treatment, these levels return to their base value.
Q. Does Tide 100 Tablet cause loss of potassium?
Tide 100 Tablet may not cause direct potassium loss. But, in some cases, its use may cause excess loss of water which may lead to dehydration. This, as a result, may cause loss of potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium.
Q. My blood pressure is controlled now. Can I stop taking Tide 100 Tablet?
Do not stop taking Tide 100 Tablet without talking to your doctor. Stopping the medicine may not overshoot your blood pressure levels but may make your condition as it was before treatment. Therefore, discuss this with your doctor who will advise you to change the medicine or the dosage as per your requirement.
