TILSTIGMIN INJECTION is not recommended for use if you have blockage in your intestine or face difficulty urinating, have peritonitis or any condition where your intestines may no longer be functioning.
Before receiving TILSTIGMIN INJECTION tell your doctor if you have asthma, fits, stomach ulcer, Parkinson’s disease or any heart problem. TILSTIGMIN INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant and breast-feeding women.
Your doctor will prescribe the right dose of TILSTIGMIN INJECTION for your child depending on their age, body weight and disease condition.The most common side effects of receiving TILSTIGMIN INJECTION are slow heartbeat, nausea and vomiting. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms get worse over time.
TILSTIGMIN INJECTION increases muscle strength by blocking the action of an enzyme in the body which blocks nerve impulses to muscles. By stopping this enzyme from working, it strengthens muscles and thus helps in easing of intestinal movements and urinary retention.
Neostigmine is metabolized by microsomal enzymes in the liver and the observed elimination half-life reported is between 24 and 113 minutes. Metabolism Neostigmine is metabolized by microsomal enzymes in the liver.

Stop receiving TILSTIGMIN INJECTION and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Angioedema or a severe allergic reaction (swelling of the face, lips or throat which makes it difficult to swallow or breathe, rash, itching, hives, dizziness)
Absolute contraindications of neostigmine include hypersensitivity to neostigmine and peritonitis or mechanical obstruction of the intestinal or urinary tract.
TILSTIGMIN INJECTION should be used with caution in women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Consult your doctor for advice.

Neostigmine, sold under the brand name Bloxiverz, among others, is a medication used to treat myasthenia gravis, Ogilvie syndrome, and urinary retention without the presence of a blockage. It is also used in anaesthesia to end the effects of non-depolarising neuromuscular blocking medication.
Drug-Drug Interaction: NEOSTIGMINE may interact with anaesthetics (halothane, cyclopropane), muscle relaxants (succinylcholine, suxamethonium), antibiotics (neomycin, streptomycin), muscle weakness treating drugs (amifampridine), antidepressants (bupropion), and dementia treating drugs (donepezil).
Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid or limit alcohol intake to prevent disease worsening and unwanted side effects.
Drug-Disease Interaction: Let your doctor know if you have asthma, bradycardia (slow heart rate), bronchospasm, fits, hyperthyroidism, stomach ulcer, coronary artery disease, urination problems, Parkinson's disease, or irritability of vagus nerve before starting NEOSTIGMINE.

However, consult your doctor or nurse if you experience any unusual symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, increased bronchial and salivary secretions and slow heartbeat.
TILSTIGMIN INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into a vein as an intravenous infusion. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of treatment for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
What should I do if I forget to receive a dose of TILSTIGMIN INJECTION?
Please stick to the prescribed schedule as agreed with your doctor for optimal efficacy of TILSTIGMIN INJECTION treatment. Tell your doctor whenever you forget to receive any dose.
Can TILSTIGMIN INJECTION be taken in pregnancy?
Please tell your doctor if you are or think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant before receiving TILSTIGMIN INJECTION. Although there are no known untoward effects of this medicine, your doctor will advise the correct course of treatment.
Can TILSTIGMIN INJECTION be stopped?
Continue receiving TILSTIGMIN INJECTION until your doctor tells you to stop, unless you experience any unwanted effects, worsening of your condition or any new symptoms. Call your doctor in such case.
Can TILSTIGMIN INJECTION be used in asthmatic patients?
TILSTIGMIN INJECTION should be used with caution in patients having a lung disease called asthma. Consult your doctor for advice. Your doctor will determine a proper dose or select a suitable alternative treatment for you.
