Tivision Eye Drop is for external use only. It should be used before any surgical procedure or eye treatment by a doctor or healthcare professional only. While applying the medicine you may be asked to hold your eyelid, so wash your hands. It is advisable not to rub your eyes during the treatment.
This medicine may cause irritation and burning sensation immediately following the application. However, these side effects are temporary and usually subside on their own. Inform your doctor if they persist for a longer duration. Do not wear contact lenses while using it. It is advisable to avoid using any other eye drops without doctor consultation. It also causes blurring of vision, hence avoid driving immediately after the treatment.
Tivision Eye Drop is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals at the nerve endings in the eye. This decreases pain sensation in the eye.
Lidocaine is absorbed extensively following mucosal, intramuscular, rectal, transdermal, and inhalation pathways. 1 Lidocaine is metabolized efficiently, whether by presystemic hepatic elimination or normal clearance due to systemic hepatic blood flow.
