Tolperitas-SR 450 Tablet is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm without reduction in strength. This improves pain and movement of muscles.
Tolperisone gets absorbed quickly in the body and peak plasma concentration is achieved usually 0.5 1.0 h after oral ingestion. The Cmax is between 64.2 784.9 ng/ml and Tmax is 0.90 ±0.31 h. 4 Absolute bio-availability is approximately 17% due to hepatic first-pass effect.

Tolperisone is indicated for use in the treatment of pathologically increased tone of the skeletal muscle caused by neurological diseases (damage of the pyramidal tract, multiple sclerosis, myelopathy, encephalomyelitis) and of spastic paralysis and other encephalopathies manifested with muscular dystonia.
Tolperisone does not have a significant potential for interactions with other pharmaceutical drugs. It cannot be excluded that combination with other centrally acting muscle relaxants, benzodiazepines or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may make a dose reduction necessary in some patients.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Tolperitas-SR 450 Tablet is to be taken with food.

If you miss a dose of Tolperitas-SR 450 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
