Trimspa 200mg Tablet is used in the treatment of pain due to smooth muscle spasm. It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps, pain, and discomfort.
Trimspa 200mg Tablet is taken with or without in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effects are dryness in mouth, excessive thirst, reduced bronchial secretions, increased heart rate, flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk), and constipation. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Before taking this medicine, you should let your doctor know if you have liver and kidney problems.
Trimebutine accelerates gastric emptying, induces premature phase III of the migrating motor complex in the intestine and modulates the contractile activity of the colon.
Trimebutine is a spasmolytic agent that acts directly on smooth muscle to modulate gastric motility. It shows a "dual function" that stimulates or inhibits spontaneous contractions depending on the concentration and prior contractile activity in the preparation

TRIMEBUTINE (trimebutine maleate) is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to trimebutine maleate or any of the excipients. No other contraindications have been identified at this time
Trimspa 200mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Trimspa 200mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Indicated for symptomatic treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and treatment of postoperative paralytic ileus following abdominal surgery.
Alosetron Alosetron may increase the central nervous system depressant (CNS depressant) activities of Trimebutine.
Alprazolam Alprazolam may increase the central nervous system depressant (CNS depressant) activities of Trimebutine.
Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Trimspa 200mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
