Common side effects of this medicine include allergy, flushing, anaphylactic reaction, dark-colored urine, and skin redness. If you experienced any of this that do no resolve on their own or get worse, speak with your doctor.
Before you get this injection, let your doctor know if you have any preexisting medical conditions. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking. In patients with kidney diseases, dose adjustment may be required. Discussed with your doctor. Do not consume alcohol while on treatment with this medicine.

Distribution half-life is on the order of 1.86 +/- 0.34 h and the elimination half-life 26.2 +/- 2.7 h. The apparent volume of distribution is 0.45 +/- 0.03 L/kg. Renal and total body clearance are 0.31 +/- 0.06 and 0.83 +/- 0.07 L/h, respectively.

Hydroxocobalamin is a form of manufactured, injectable vitamin B12. Clinicians use it in the prevention and treatment of macrocytic anemia associated with vitamin B12 deficiency. It may also be part of therapy to treat Leber optic atrophy (an inherited optic neuropathy associated with a deficiency in vitamin B12).

You may experience slight pain and redness at the site of injection which is normal and usually resolves on its own.
