Tuloplast 0.5 Transdermal Patch is used to treat and prevent asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), a lung disorder in which flow of air to the lung is blocked. It helps in relaxing the muscles of the air passages, thus widening it and making it easier to breathe.
Tuloplast 0.5 Transdermal Patch is for external use. Your doctor will explain how to use a patch and give you the one most suitable for you. Follow the instructions carefully to get the most benefit. The dose may change from time to time to suit your individual needs. You should not wear more than one patch at a time. Normally you will use one new patch each day, changing the place where you apply it to avoid skin irritation.
The most common side effects of this medicine include tremors, headaches, restlessness, insomnia, palpitations, and muscle cramps. You may have side effects more often when you start your treatment or when your dose is increased. Usually, the side effects will slowly go away as your body gets used to the medicine. If they are severe or will not go away, you should remove your patch and contact your doctor.
Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have a heart problem, high blood pressure, diabetes, or thyroid disorders. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works.
The tulobuterol patch (TP) is a beta(2)-adrenergic agonist with a favorable pharmacokinetic profile used for asthma management in Japan. Because it contains tulobuterol in a molecular, crystallized form that is gradually absorbed percutaneously, TP exerts a prolonged bronchodilator effect exceeding 24 hours

The therapeutic efficacy of Tulobuterol can be decreased when used in combination with Amoxapine. The risk or severity of hypertension can be increased when Amphetamine is combined with Tulobuterol. The risk or severity of Tachycardia can be increased when Anagrelide is combined with Tulobuterol
Check the label before use. Make sure the skin is clean and dry. Remove the protective liner of the patch. Do not touch the sticky side. With sticky side down, place the patch evenly onto the skin.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Tuloplast 0.5 Transdermal Patch, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Apply this medicine to a site where children cannot touch, since they might remove the tape.
Inform your doctor if you are suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disorder, and heart disease.
Seek medical attention if you experience sudden difficulty in breathing, flushing, swelling of the lips and face, and skin rashes.
Avoid smoking and minimise your exposure to pollution, dust, pollens and fumes. Along with that, a little exercise each day can help you stay strong.
