Tusq-D Cough Lozenges Orange is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
Amylmetacresol works by stopping the growth of the bacteria present in the mouth and throat. Dextromethorphan works by reducing cough activity and relieving cough.
Amylmetacresol is used in the treatment of sore throat. Amylmetacresol belongs to class of medications called antiseptics. Amylmetacresol works by killing the bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections. It also works in the area of the discomfort and helps lubricate and soothe the painful area.Dextromethorphan is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, where it enters the bloodstream and crosses the blood–brain barrier.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Amylmetacresol+Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is used in the treatment of dry cough.Amylmetacresol is an antiseptic medicine which works by killing the bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Tusq-D Cough Lozenges Orange may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Tusq-D Cough Lozenges Orange may interact with the following drugs and products:
Alcohol
Amiodarone
Cough and cold medicines
Haloperidol
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors
Propafenone
Quinidine
Thioridazine
Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Place it in your mouth and allow it to dissolve slowly. Do not chew or swallow. It may take sometime to dissolve. Tusq-D Cough Lozenges Orange may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

If you miss a dose of Tusq-D Cough Lozenges Orange, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Tusq-D Cough Lozenges Orange is prescribed to get relief from a dry cough.
Tusq-D Cough Lozenges Orange should be taken after every 2 to 3 hours or as suggested by the doctor. Suck one lozenge slowly as required.
Do not take it for more than 3 days. Consult your doctor if you do not observe any improvement in symptoms.
Do not take more than 8 lozenges in 24 hours.
Each lozenge contains sugar. This should be taken into account if you have diabetes mellitus.
