Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR is advised to take it in a dose and duration as per prescription. It should be taken with food, but take at the same time regularly. Swallow the medicine as a whole without crushing or chewing it. You should not stop taking the medicine without consulting the doctor as it may lead to the worsening of your symptoms. The course of the treatment should be completed for better efficacy of the medicine.
Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. This helps empty the bladder completely and reduces the need to pass urine frequently or urgently in BPH.
Tamsulosin exhibits high plasma-protein binding, largely to alpha(1)-acid glycoprotein. It is metabolized, mainly by cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4 and CYP2D6 to compounds with low abundance, and 8.7-15% of an oral dose is excreted renally as the parent compound.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Tamsulosin is used in men to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH) which include difficulty urinating (hesitation, dribbling, weak stream, and incomplete bladder emptying), painful urination, and urinary frequency and urgency.
Acid-blocking drug. Taking cimetidine with tamsulosin can increase the levels of tamsulosin in your body.
Antibiotic.
Antidepressant (SSRI).

If you miss a dose of Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

In fact, this medicine increases the urine flow and decreases the urge to urinate frequently, which is a symptom of benign enlargement of the prostate gland. Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR is used to treat all such symptoms related to urine flow in patients with benign enlargement of the prostate gland.

Usually Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR does not cause any side effects in patients with benign enlargement of the prostate gland. However, long-term use of Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR may increase the chances of having infection, rhinitis, pain, and pharyngitis. Its long-term use may also cause abnormal ejaculation, blackouts, faintness, lightheadedness, dizziness, and decreased blood pressure.
