Valdixx 40mg Injection is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) called COX-2 inhibitors. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Pharmacokinets

Following IV or IM injection, parecoxib is rapidly converted to valdecoxib, the pharmacologically active substance, by enzymatic hydrolysis in the liver. Absorption Exposure of valdecoxib following single doses of Dynastat, as measured by both the area under the plasma concentration vs.

Interactions

Amphotericin B The risk or severity of nephrotoxicity can be increased when Amphotericin B is combined with Parecoxib.

Ampicillin Parecoxib may decrease the excretion rate of Ampicillin which could result in a higher serum level.
