It works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach and improves motility in the gut. Thus, it reduces the backflow of stomach content to the food pipe. Rabeprazole+Domperidone is available in the form of tablet, capsule.
Domperidone is a specific blocker of dopamine receptors. It speeds gastrointestinal peristalsis, causes prolactin release, and is used as antiemetic and tool in the study of dopaminergic mechanisms. Side effects include galactorrhea, gynecomastia, or menstrual irregularities.
Rabeprazole is an antiulcer drug in the class of proton pump inhibitors. It is a prodrug - in the acid environment of the parietal cells it turns into active sulphenamide form. Rabeprazole inhibits the H+, K+ATPase of the coating gastric cells and dose-dependent oppresses basal and stimulated gastric acid secretion.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Validay 100mg/20mg Capsule.
Validay 100mg/20mg Capsule is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
RABEPRAZOLE SODIUM+DOMPERIDONE is used to treat acidity, heartburn, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, nausea, vomiting, the fullness of the stomach, bloating, gas, helicobacter pylori infection, gastric and duodenal ulcers.
DOMPERIDONE+RABEPRAZOLE may interact with a blood thinner (warfarin), antifungal (ketoconazole), anti-HIV drug (atazanavir, nelfinavir), iron supplements, ampicillin antibiotic, anti-cancer drug (methotrexate). Let your doctor know if you are taking these medicines.

If you miss a dose of Validay 100mg/20mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
