The most common side effect of this medicine is nausea. You may also experience other side effects like changes in blood pressure, back pain, fluid retention, numbness, vomiting, stomach ache, indigestion, constipation, and bloating among others. If any of these side effects persist or get worse, you should let your doctor know.
Before taking it, you should let your doctor know if you have a history of stomach ulcers, heart diseases, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking because they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.
This medicine is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers must consult with their doctors before using the medicine.
Valus P 40mg Injection is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) called COX-2 inhibitors. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Following IV or IM injection, parecoxib is rapidly converted to valdecoxib, the pharmacologically active substance, by enzymatic hydrolysis in the liver. Absorption Exposure of valdecoxib following single doses of Dynastat, as measured by both the area under the plasma concentration vs.

Parecoxib is indicated for the short-term treatment of acute post-operative pain. There is limited clinical experience with parecoxib treatment beyond three days.
Amphotericin B The risk or severity of nephrotoxicity can be increased when Amphotericin B is combined with Parecoxib.
Ampicillin Parecoxib may decrease the excretion rate of Ampicillin which could result in a higher serum level.

It may cause fewer stomach problems as compared to other NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or Naproxen.

Do not consume alcohol while on treatment with this medicine as it may cause excessive drowsiness.
Regularly monitor your blood pressure while taking this medicine, particularly in the first two weeks after starting treatment.
Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, heart diseases, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.
During long-term treatment, your doctor may want to take regular blood tests to monitor your liver function.
