Vasosure Tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors. It may be taken on an empty stomach or with a meal, but it should be taken at a fixed time each day. The dose and how often you need to take it will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. Follow the advice of your doctor. It is important to take this medicine regularly and for as long as you are advised, even if you feel well. Missing doses may lead to the worsening of your condition.
Sildenafil is a selective inhibitor of cGMP-specific phosphodiesterase (PDE-5). Penile erection involves relaxation of the corpus cavernosum, an event mediated by NO and cGMP. The biological actions of cGMP are terminated by phosphodiesterase enzymes and PDE-5 is the major cGMP metabolising enzyme in this tissue.
Sildenafil was rapidly cleared from the body with a plasma elimination half-life of approximately 3–4 h over the dose range of 25 and 200 mg. These characteristics represent pharmacokinetic support for the effectiveness and appropriateness of sildenafil for the as-needed treatment of patients with ED.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Sildenafil treats erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. This increased blood flow can cause an erection. Sildenafil treats PAH by relaxing the blood vessels in the lungs to allow blood to flow easily.
If you take sildenafil for pulmonary arterial hypertension, do not take Viagra® or other PDE5 inhibitors, such as tadalafil (Cialis®) or vardenafil (Levitra®). Viagra® also contains sildenafil. If you take too much sildenafil or take it together with these medicines, the chance for side effects will be higher.
