This medicine may make you more susceptible to viral infections, so you should stay away from people who have these infections. In general, you should try to avoid situations that make your symptoms worse (things like pollen and dust mites) and it is best not to smoke.
Before starting to use Vetalog Injection you should let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you use this medicine for a long time, your doctor may want to carry out certain medical tests to check your progress.
Corticosteroids like triamcinolone inhibit phospholipase A2 on cell membranes, preventing the breakdown of lysosomal membranes of leukocytes, which in turn prevent the formation of arachidonic acid, which decrease expression of cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase, inhibiting synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes.
After intravenous administration, triamcinolone acetonide was eliminated with a total body clearance of 37 L/h and a half-life of 2.0 hours. The volume of distribution was 103 L, and oral bioavailability averaged 23%. Absorption was rapid, achieving maximum triamcinolone acetonide levels of 10.5 ng/mL after 1 hour

Contraindications to triamcinolone include patients with tuberculosis due to the risk of reactivation. Patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus should use caution when systemically dosing triamcinolone (as with all corticosteroids) due to its hyperglycemic adverse effect
