Wicet Plus 5mg/60mg/30mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose required by you may vary depending on what you are taking it for. This medicine is usually taken in the evening, but follow the advice of your doctor on how to take it. You may need this medicine only on days you have symptoms, but if you are taking it to prevent the symptoms then you should take it regularly. If you miss doses or stop taking it earlier than advised, your symptoms may come back.This medicine is generally very safe. Wicet Plus 5mg/60mg/30mg Tablet helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It will relieve symptoms such as tightness in your chest, shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing and help you carry out your daily activities more easily.

Pharmacokinets

Levocetirizine exhibited linear pharmacokinetics over the therapeutic dose range in adult healthy subjects. Levocetirizine is rapidly and extensively absorbed following oral administration. In adults, peak plasma concentrations are achieved 0.9 hour after administration of the oral tablet.

Bioavailability of ambroxol administered orally is approximately 70–80%. The distribution half-life of ambroxol is 1.3 hours, metabolite is dibromoanthranilic acid (activity unspecified) and Elimination of ambroxol is biphasic, with an alpha half-life of 1.3 hours and a beta half-life of 8.8 hours.

Unlike epinephrine and norepinephrine, pseudoephedrine is active after oral administration and is easily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The onset of action occurs after 30 min and after 1–4 h the drug reaches its maximum concentration in the blood.

Ambroxol Contra Indications

Hypersensitivity. There are no other specific contraindications for administration of ambroxol however caution is advised in patients of gastric ulceration.

Pseudoephedrine

Contraindications to pseudoephedrine use are hypersensitivity to the drug, cardiovascular diseases (hypertension and coronary artery disease), impaired function of organs responsible for elimination of the drug (severe liver dysfunction, moderate or severe renal dysfunction), hyperthyroidism, narrow-angle glaucoma .

Wicet Plus 5mg/60mg/30mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Interactions

LEVOCETIRIZINE+PSEUDOEPHEDRINE+AMBROXOL also has common side effects like vomiting, dryness in the mouth, stomach upset, headache, sleepiness, restlessness, sleep disturbances and allergic reactions. These side effects, if occurred, generally go away during the treatment.

Effects Of Missed Dosage

Levocetirizine

Your doctor has prescribed Levocetirizine to help relieve allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes.

As compared to other similar medications, it is much less likely to make you feel sleepy.

Be cautious while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as it can cause dizziness and sleepiness.

Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication as it may cause increased sleepiness.
