Zevert MD 24 Tablet should be swallowed whole with water and taken at the same time(s) each day to get the most benefit. Your doctor will decide what is the correct dose to relieve your symptoms and how often you need to take it. You may need to take this medicine for several months and you should take it for as long as prescribed by your doctor, even if you start feeling better.
The most common side effects include headache, feeling sick, and indigestion (dyspepsia). You may also get stomach pain and bloating. Taking the medicine with food can help reduce stomach problems.
Before taking this medicine, you should talk to your doctor if you have a stomach ulcer, asthma, or high or low blood pressure. You must also tell him/her what other medicines you are taking, to make sure you are safe. Also speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Zevert 24 MG Tablet works by increasing the blood flow around the inner ear, which reduces the fluid pressure in the ear. This helps to relieve the symptoms of Meniere's disease, such as vertigo (a feeling of dizziness or spinning sensation), ringing in the ears, nausea, and hearing loss.
Pharmacokinetics. Betahistine comes in both a tablet form as well as an oral solution, and is taken orally. It is rapidly and completely absorbed. The mean plasma elimination half-life is 3 to 4 hours, and excretion is virtually complete in the urine within 24 hours.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Hypersensitivity to Betahistine Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Betahistine should not be used if you have the following conditions:
• Galactose intolerance
• Glucose-galactose malabsorption

• Pheochromocytoma

Betahistine is indicated for treatment of Ménière's syndrome, symptoms of which may include vertigo, tinnitus, hearing loss and nausea. Initial oral treatment is 8 to 16 mg three times daily, taken preferably with meals. Maintenance doses are generally in the range 24 - 48 mg daily. Daily dose should not exceed 48 mg.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Betahistine Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Betahistine Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:

Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Put it in your mouth but do not swallow it. Zevert MD 24 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Zevert MD 24 Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Q. What are the triggers for Meniere's disease?
Meniere's disease can be triggered by conditions like stress, overwork, fatigue, emotional distress, additional illnesses, and pressure changes. Along with that, certain foods such as dairy products, caffeine, alcohol, and foods with high sodium content may trigger Meniere's disease. A 2-gram/day low-salt diet can help control vertigo in Meniere's disease.
Q. What if I forget to take a dose of Zevert MD 24 Tablet?
If you forget a dose of Zevert MD 24 Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the scheduled time. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.
