What is Lipolysis?

Lipolysis is a medical procedure and objective is to remove local fat deposits. It tightens the skin and also dissolves fat.

How the procedure works?

Treatment consists of injecting deoxycholic acid into the double chin or face. It is inject able procedure all over the face or lower chin. There is very less downtime, it is non-invasive and non-surgical and there is little risk.

Deoxycholic acid breaks down fat by destroying the cell membrane in the digestive tract. This occurs slowly over the time of several weeks. It follows the same path in the deoxycholic acid; it gets metabolized and broken down, and then removed as waste.

What are the side effects of lipolysis?

General complaints or side effects post lipolysis were pain, edema and a penetrating sensation. However, these are temporary and typically lessened within hours to 2–3 days after procedure.

Why it creates heat sensation or swelling after the procedure?

The reactions (swelling, heat sensation, pain etc.) which may be accompanied by the destruction of fat cells through demedication are essential and natural process that eliminates the residues of destroyed fat cells.

How many procedures will lipolysis take?

It will take 2-3 procedures at interval of averagely one month.
